Mellow Sunday morning...too hot to be true
Following the tradition that said: hot, out of season, means earthquake, this early morning an hard shock hit again the centre of Italy

In my daily walk I wear a Barbisio from the sixties found NOS in these weeks
nvo68n.jpg

In the shadow it has a shade more clear
It has a medium "rugged" felt in clear beige with bounded brim matching the ribbon

In the sun it became more vivid

It is moldable without steam, a nice new addiction to the Barbisio family

Have a nice Sunday

Spent a wonderful evening presenting OSU history at the Men of Roses display tent at our Homecoming game. I got to hold the actual 1942 Rose Bowl trophy! Kind of pumped up on a history high right now.

And the Tournament of Roses representative had the current 2017 Rose Bowl Trophy on display. I touched it. The Beavers will not be in the Rose Bowl this year unfortunately.

They came to Ft. Worth? That's awesome! I've gotta get back up there.

Yes, Mike had a booth at the Cowboy Event in the Stockyards

http://redsteagallcowboygathering.com/

He'd brought a good selection of his hats to the show. Some of the hats are pre-distressed, which I usually don't like. The aging Mike and Rocky add to the hats looks really natural - Rocky assured me he doesn't age the hats by dragging them around behind a truck for a couple of days.

There were a pair of hats, black felt with dark copper vintage ribbon, identical other than one was pre-aged. It's a good thing the aged one wasn't my size or I'd be wearing it today :)

Kind of envy this.

Joao, you'd fit in perfectly at this event with your western hats.

Here in Fort Worth, western hats are common, but at the event it seemed just about all the guys and a lot of the ladies were sporting hats. Very cool.

Rusty was wearing one of the hats Mike made for that Hank Williams movie. It fits right into the space between fedora and western style, rather like the Open Road. The kind of hat you can wear anywhere!

Cheers!

Keep up the good work folks. I see so many great hats. I'm trying to resist the urge to order more hats. The mind is willing, the flesh is weak.......

Sister days are the best!
We try to get together once a month but it can be a challenge.

She looks lovely as usual!

Nice color, Esther. Those purple tones suit you.
Love the braided pony tail.

Thx my friend.

Inquiring minds want to know your plans for it: just for display at home, put it in storage, donate to a museum, having the sweat redone (I know that may be sacrilegious and apologize to those who know better than I), or ?????
I have one or two occasions each year that seem to validate its usage-- but I don't know-- I'd get the sweatband replaced if that's a possibility on a hat like that. The construction is a little different from most of the fedoras around here, but I bet someone could do it.

That's another SPECIAL one, Daniele. I heard about the quake on the radio this morning; hope for safety for all and minimal damage.
