Pictures are starting to pile up so...
Friday I started with this long hair Thoroughbred. Even in the close up shot the moth bites almost don't show up.

Later switched to this Stagecoach

Yesterday (Saturday) because of the "brim size thread", I started with this old 60's Stetson

And rapidly changed to this Stetson Big Country.

This evening we went to a Chinese restaurant of a type I haven't been to since the 1960s and 70s in California. A Cantonese-Polynesian place, complete with a tiki bar and wonderfully tacky pop-polynesian decor. It's still got these after 62 years in business! I wore a tweed vintage-styled flat cap commissioned by Paul Stuart. Surprisingly wide and vintage-correct for something sold in stores these days! Forgive my tough Marine son. That's not a scowl. He actually thought he was smiling in the picture!

Thanks for the comments on the Shady Oak, fellas.

Greg, great shots! Where exactly is the restaurant? We get up to NYC often, and love Polynesian joints. Not too many left.

Rick, Perry, Joao, Harv, RJR, moehwk, Dale, Rogera, Thanks guys. I appreciate everyone's feedback and suggestions. I went with the advice of the majority and wore the OR. I think if my sport jacket had been Western tailored I would have worn the Resistol. I'll definitely be searching the bay for one....I went to a City Council meeting. Aside from my wife's usual comments, that wearing my fedoras "dates" me and makes me look like an old man, the reactions from others were positive. I got comments from, "Cool Hat", to, "That looks sharp". One guy showed some real interest in the hat and was asking questions about it. I suggested the Lounge to him and I think we're going to have a new member joining up soon.

good choice ! but either way you looked sharp, I know how those" usual comments" go women with their men in a fedora, you get the same reaction from some women when you mention to them about driving a station wagon.
But like you i have many more good reactions and comments when i wear my fedora

Thanks buddy. I guess we just have better fashion sense than our wives do! I wouldn't say that if I knew my wife actually read what I posted on the Lounge! ;)

Dallas, Harv, very nice hats guys.

Terry, Matt, RJR, thank you. I really like this color!

Matt, there is a 7 3/8 (59) on ebay right now, FYI.

Just ordered a Akubra tablelands from EA and have a custom on the way, after buying my 50's strat on ebay if I bought ANOTHER hat in such a short time my wife would murder me and I would need to be buried in one. Guess that would mean more hats in the classifieds.....

Nice hat HT;haven't heard much from/about CRM lately.Isn't he fairly close to you?

We text back and forth but that has fallen off. To be completely honest it seems he was bummed that he wasn't getting more orders so he went on sort of a sabbatical, he said he would be cranking business back up again this month.
