That's one of the great things about an Open Road. It is so versatile that you can wear it on the ranch or out on the town. My wife likes me in hats, but wonders why I need so many! Lol

I agree. You can't beat a thin ribbon, or a mid-ribbon, for their versatility. Both go well with either dressy or casual attire.

HT, injineer, g.durand, very nice hats guys, especially the Strat. Hopefully, one of these days...

A more recent vintage 4X OR, probably '80s. This is basically a practice hat for me. I reblocked this hat and sewed on a vintage 6 ply ribbon with a simple loop, I wouldn't mess with an early vintage like I did with this later version. No bow on this one....

Nice looking OR, TJ. I dig the ribbon treatment you gave it.

G.D. those are some real beauties, and very well worn.

Cool warm mink hat Ingineer.

Tweed cap for me on this chilly day.

G.D., that is a nice, relaxed OR. My grandfather wore them about every day.

Dale, that look rocks!

Richard, you will feel no pain today!!

History, that is a very good find! Congrats!

Steve, a few pages back, what a superb homburg!

TJ, your customization work is really nice! It's making me appreciate thin (and mid) ribbons more and more!

Those colors sound awesome, Michael! Nice OR, Terry. Very nice! Dale, love the cap! Harv, I've been looking, for an OR Shady Oak forever. Terrific! Would you mind taking a snapshot of the liner as well sometime? I'd love to see it!

Oh man, Harv! That is sweet. I used to go into Peters Bros. all the time when I was in law school in Fort Worth. Sadly, I never got a Shady Oak! Jealous!!!

Love the Shady Oak. We'll soon be living within walking distance of Peters Bros so I have to find one. I think they still make them, but I suspect the older Stetson version is best.

rc, in the townhouses on Samuel's Ave, just on the edge of downtown. It was there or West 7th, but we like overlooking the river and the skyline views.

The company I work for is based in Ft Worth and I love the city and the people

This evening we went to a Chinese restaurant of a type I haven't been to since the 1960s and 70s in California. A Cantonese-Polynesian place, complete with a tiki bar and wonderfully tacky pop-polynesian decor. It's still got these after 62 years in business! I wore a tweed vintage-styled flat cap commissioned by Paul Stuart. Surprisingly wide and vintage-correct for something sold in stores these days! Forgive my tough Marine son. That's not a scowl. He actually thought he was smiling in the picture!

Pictures are starting to pile up so...
Friday I started with this long hair Thoroughbred. Even in the close up shot the moth bites almost don't show up.

Later switched to this Stagecoach

Yesterday (Saturday) because of the "brim size thread", I started with this old 60's Stetson

And rapidly changed to this Stetson Big Country.

Today probably something huge again :D

Very nice Joao! The furry one is impressive. It looks in good shape. Really cool jacket in the last photo with the big country. Is it new?

Greg that cap is very nice. It does have a much wider, vintage style cut than most modern caps. Those Polynesian places are a fun place to eat. Looks like you are enjoying it. Sometimes a drink with a little umbrella is just the ticket.

Cool pic, Randooch!!
