Finishing a couple of chores down by the lake and then need to get ready to go out for Saturday Date Night with my wife.

I am putting my Stetson Sovereign Twenty w/Mode Edge, sage green thru some work. This hat makes a statement. The fedora is not a half way fedora.

The crown height, brim width, the mode edge, the color, the tasty substantial leather band, the broader ribbon work and the liner work all are the FULL DEAL. No half ways in any way for this fedora.

Two great hats, AnA. How wold you say the quality of the Falcon Park stands up to the vintage Cavanagh?

I headed out for some errands first thing this morning, with my grey Stratoliner.

Both fantastic lids! I love Parker's work, and that Cav is ultra-sweet. (I don't have many of those dishes left since most of them have been knocked over by kids and/or cats over the years!)

David, Eric-- really awesome. Both of those work so naturally for you(s)!

Josh, yes there is most certainly a resemblance there, wow! The flat cap is another great look for you!

"Official" season opener last night, and I wasn't shy about going with my Falcon Park Black Cherry. Heck, the way I see it, if midnight blue is an acceptable substitute for black with formalwear, black cherry is going to work just as well, if not better!

I think the Black Cherry felt is pretty amazing in that it goes with just about everything. I love my VS version so much, I've commissioned another hat in that colour - different maker, very different style.

Jeff, Parker's work shows well with your black cherry fedora. I'm a fan of the unfinished over welt. I remember you mentioned that you might get it stitched. If you do, that would look pretty sharp with a double stitch!
