Took a pic just before heading out to the business for the afternoon/evening.

Temps still in the mid 40's F, with strong wind when this pic was taken. I tugged my hat low so it stayed on my head.

Best, Eric -

(Hatted in my VS - Whippet-esque, dark moss.)

Thanks Hatophile and Chepstow.

Bowlerman, I'm not particularly tall (5'10"). I guess in early morning photos I look a bit rougher around the edges ;)

And now for something completely different...

At the place I work we sell a few mens hats. I pulled one of these out of the warehouse to try on. Maybe next summer I'll buy one of these for myself. Anyone want to guess where this is from?

Africa is correct seabass. Not particularly specific but close enough. These are the hats worn by the Fulani who are a nomadic cowboy/shepherd tribe in the north west of Africa. They're completely handmade from straw and leather which breathes well and stays cool in desert conditions (where they are used the most). They're also extremely durable and block almost 100% of sunlight.

I would guess that many of our customers who buy these hats do so to hang them on their walls as decorations. They really are authentic usable hats though.

The African "Cowboy Hat"! I would have guessed Indochina myself. Good job Che.
