We don't see too many Miller hats. They do have a wide selection and decent prices. I bought a shantung Hommie from them once.

I wonder when Jake left State Farm...
I found them by chance, some obscured review I read took me to their site. I own a Signature series from them and it is a well made hat. The fit is perfect and, without breaking the bank, one can get a nice hat.

I'm not a collector, more of a user, so their price range is perfect for my mission :)

The Tawny Fawn and Moonstone Fed IVs are due to arrive from Down Under today, or maybe tomorrow. Kind of anxious to receive them, as you can imagine. My hands gained a little more experience working the crease into my Black Fed IV, so the shaping of these two new hats could go quick and smooth... perhaps, no holding of breath here. Either way it will probably be the weekend before I get around to pics of my initial bashes.

Just ordered a vintage Stetson Gun Club Roadster from eBay, black with a 2 3/8 inch brim and thin brown leather band. The pictures looked fantastic, like new, except for the missing pin.

It needs a little shaping, but the pictures look like what I've always wanted for a winter hat, right down to the leather band. Fingers crossed it's everything I think it is when it finally arrives.

Also my first Mayser, which should at least fit my head without another hat beneath it.

I can resist eBay proper, but picclick sucks me in.

Nope.
I saw it and figured my hats needed a hat.
It arrived yesterday
And it is BIG. The size tag is gone, so no dating help there, but 7 7/8 is chalked inside of the sweat, and also written small on the price tag, which was $145, for a 4XXX.
Then, to avoid confusion, somebody also scrawled it on the back of the sweat with felt tip.
Pristine condition too, almost unworn. Its hiding in the box it came in though.
I cant imagine any possible explanation my wife would accept for me buying this one.

We dropped my wife's car off for service Thurs. night. I said she could drive my van Friday because i had shop work to get done. She didn't want to drive the beast, so said she would just take the light rail train ... until we woke up to 4" of fresh snow. Then she called her boss and asked to work on things from home.
Tracking had led me to expect it Thurs., Fed X, so I had no doubt it would show up Friday, but when?
USPS there's a predictable window, but nor Fed X.
I knew I wouldn't get any mileage using Bob's line that it, "... showed up on the porch." I don't look as innocent as him.
All day long I sweat bullets and tried to keep one eye on the street.
Around 3PM she asked me to run out and bring a couple of beers home for each of us. What could I say?
"Isn't it a little early for beer, dear?"
I spun around the block looking for big trucks, then made my 1 mile round trip in record time.
I'll admit I was imagining duh! duh! duh! duh! suspense music, a knock on the door, then, "Hat-Shark," the entire two minutes. I was prescient enough to add another item to my shopping list.
A little after 6:00, after two beers and half a bottle of Merlot, she decided to take a little nap.
Just in time, too.

I beat her to the Mayser as well. I had to shovel the porch to erase the box print. (Should I have shoveled the walk too?)
Nice hat, and I'm impressed with the shipping box from Greece.
It almost makes me feel bad about those Greek boys leaving home jokes I used to tell.
(Don't worry. I'm over it.)
Nothing like my usual bash, but I like it.
