What hat are you waiting for today?

It has arrived! Exactly one week from the day I ordered it: kind of amazing when you think it's gone halfway around the world in that time. And Fruno, you couldn't be more on the money about the color. Really a deep, dark brown, with a reddish feel to it. I've been looking for this color ever since I saw it in one of Bertie Wooster's hats on the series with Laurie and Frye. It really is beautiful. I sent a thank you to the nice ladies at the Hattery. They do a great job.

Had to go a bit above my usual maximum bid of $37.13, but didn't figure I'd see this model of hat in my size ever again. Stetson 3X, embroidered Last Drop liner, longhair. Hoping a naphtha bath will help. Anyone else seen one of these?

Sorry Bob, I cost you a few extra dollars.. Was going for this one but another opportunity came up so I had to spend my funds elsewhere. Definitely an interesting hat, and I'm happy it's going to a lounger. Excited to see it when it arrives!

No worries Justin. The live bidders pushed it up $20 more anyway. Seems like a dry spell is always followed by too many hats to buy at once. Have you shared the "opportunity" yet?

And guess what I found still attached but folded behind the sweat? A black & gold keyhole size tag for 58 cm. Sellers measurements were way off. Looks like it is a 7-1/4, maybe a 7-1/8 now.

Great hat, just a bit dusty. I'm disappointed! I'm anxious to iron the brim & do some documentation but need to contact seller on Monday first. 3-1/2" RE brim X 5-3/4" or 6" OC.

I'll get better pics & measurements tomorrow. If anyone is interested let's talk before Monday - Tuesday.
