What Did You Drink Last Night?

Marc Chevalier brought a vintage Absenthe server thingy a few years back. If not then I suggest a trip to the Edison in Los Angeles!

The Edison? I might have to look into that.

Paulaner Hefeweizen

It was under-carbonated (the place I had it serves mostly british-style ales, and doesn't have a separate pressure line for hefeweizen), and served in the wrong glass (a guiness-pint),
but it still was good.

I really like that mid-mouth creaminess in Paulaner that goes along with the traditional hefeweizen flavours.

Unfortunately, I rarely find Paulaner on tap.

Manhattan, made at home with Seagram's 7 and Martini and Rossi sweeth vermouth. It's the ingredients that my mom and step-dad use, and since they live across the pond I get to see them so little, I thought it was nice to reminisce over a glass...

Yep. Beer is either in a pint glass or a pilsner glass. Worse, like I had at dinner the other night, the dreaded frosted glass. Couldn't taste the beer and it makes the table wet.

Today was a very bad day, albeit one with a bright, if unexpected, side.

Regardless, it led to imbibing of a Widmer Brothers W'12 (Dark Saison), Red Hook Copper Hook, and two Liz Taylors. There may be a fifth after that; we'll see.

Geez, I hope it wasn't too bad.:eusa_doh:
A friend and I split a bottle of Zin paired with a cigar---Tatuaje Avion for me and a LFD Airbender for my friend. :D

Huge fan of Tatuaje! An excellent smoke at an excellent price. I think about half my humidor are either Tatuaje or Padilla.

As for my day... not hugely bad, I suppose. More like, tough. And on the way home from a very late class, it occurred to me that I had a bottle of crème de violette that really needed to be attended to. As for the ales, I'd yet to have a chance to try the Copper Hook, and I was just kind of craving that candi sweetness of the W'12.

The Avion is not for everyone. It is fairly strong so I tend to warn people ahead of time. :p
Creme de violette? Time for an Aviation cocktail? :p
