Lots of eggs too :p

Always keep eggs on hand.
2 people eating 3 eggs a day, we go through them quickly.

Killians Irish Stout tonight.
Dark in color, the roasting isn't as strong as Guinness Extra Stout but close.
And the alcohol doesn't seem to be as high.
Not bad, maybe a bit above average.
Tomorrow night, the Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan.
I'm looking forward to trying that one, gets good reviews.

Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan Beer.
A hint of pecan/nuttiness.
Not a really dark beer, but not light.
I could live with this, even though I prefer dark beer.
Unfortunately my nose is a bit stopped up, so maybe it has more of a nutty taste.
My official taster (my wife) said it was only a hint, so there you go.

Beck's Sapphire.
An amber colored beer, with a slight hint of honey, and a higher than average alcohol content (6%).
It reminds me of Icehouse more than anything.
I don't see anything special about it.

Lot #40 Canadian Rye Whiskey

Lot #40 Canadian Rye Whisky on ice again tonight. I am eager to try its cousin Pike Creek Whisky. It is from Windsor Ontario where my wife's family lives. We visit often and my wife's brother lives on Pike Creek Road just up from the massive Hiram Walker storage shed compond.

I enjoyed the Pike Creek promotional video on their site.

Hmmmm... Never heard of it before. Might be worth a look.

Recently arrived in the good old NH booze stores. They actually have a decent Bourbon selection, usually at decent pricing.

My boss did the "bourbon trail" recently and was talking about this one. I had never heard of it but it does sound good.

Newcastle Cabbie Black Ale.
This is really good.
Smooth, dark, and not as bitter as Guinness Extra Stout.
If they have this in the store next time, I might just get a 6 pack.

m0nk, I'm enjoying the Stagg Jr, but
I'd really like to try the George T Stagg. Only available in limited quantities so hard to find, but apparently better in every respect.

Both are made by Buffalo Trace, some of the many brands made at this distillery.
