Heading out in the property to pick up branches that fell during our storm and wind event last night. A Monsavais cap on my head for the task ahead.

I generally like the larger brim, wider body caps as well.
Yes, and no. I don't like my Ivy and Newsboy caps to be so narrow on the sides that they're almost like a ball cap, but I also don't like the look of the way they were worn 100 years ago when they had a lot of excess material on the sides of the crown. There's a semi-narrow margin between "too narrow" and "too wide" for me, but I know it when I see it. ;)

I took my new Royal Blue Linen Cordova Cap out today for a field/beach test, and it passed with flying colors. Yes indeed the soft brim is very comfortable and will hold most any shape, and the light weight of the linen is quite cool. Another great cap by Jonathan Cordova!

Great minds think alike @jonesy86

Mine is on the way!

DANG! You fellows linen caps are gorgeous! The blue fabric certainly pops, but the details of the caps are extraordinary.

The damn hurricane messed up my local beach, the water is kinda nasty with all the runoff, and it is humid as heck. However, my Cordova Cap is really comfy, and the all leather sweat band kept it on my head in the wind as the storm passed by just to the North of the island. Life is good.

Good to hear you and the island were spared. Kauai is where my wife and I had our honeymoon, and it just so happened a hurricane was threatening to hit around the same time we were to arrive. I had half an eye on the island weather on my wedding day in case our flight would be delayed. It ended up veering out to sea and had a somewhat similar effect as this most recent occurrence. It rained pretty much the first day we were there and it was recommended not to go in the water for the first couple days.

Since the beaches are awash how about Waimea Canyon for a backdrop?

Back at my local beach with my Linen, Silk, and Leather Newsboy from Stetson EU. The unlined combination of silk and linen crown is one of the coolest caps I have. The leather brim makes it feel sturdy.
The water is all cleared up, but much of the beach is eroded and covered with debris from Douglas. Great swim today, floating over 6 foot waves, another day in the life.
