I love that look! I'm either going to have to rob you or learn to sew... and I think the first option is the easier one! :p

Delighted to see the weekend upon us.

Medium grey SB 3B ventless suit (second time wearing this week, but it seemed a suitable frame for this shirt --)
Ted Baker charcoal gray-blue check modal reverse button-down shirt, open neck, crisp white tee underneath
Black silk pocket square, points up
Black leather dress belt with silver buckle and tip
Swiss Army watch with black band (right wrist)
Polished stainless steel link bracelet (left wrist)
Black OTC socks with subtle woven diamond pattern
Bostonian black kiltie tassel mocs (just a few wearings left in these; rather than resoling, I'll spend that money on an upgrade)

top to bottom:
Churchill Fedora from Neiman Marcus, a very soft light grey/green, green tones predominating-as if there were a "foggy green" virtually non-reproducible in color. Classic Fedora shape, 3/8" ribbon, teardrop crease & 2 5/8 brim;
Med. DarkGreen, - Polo Ralph Lauren Field Jacket, with tan corduroy cuffs & collar-collar turned up; ivory colored corduroy button front shirt, button-down collar turned up, over off-white Polo Henley, no collar to turn up...
Custom brown lizard belt, sterling tip and buckle, rather quiet design, holding up a pair of vintage Levi red-tag jeans, faded to a great med.light indigo, a 550 cut. And holding up the whole ensemble d'jour - a pair of Carolina 12 eyelet work boots, 12+ years old, polished to a great dark Chestnut shine; rounded toe, shallow heel, in just great condition, kept well fed. Goes with my dictum of "a sturdy pair of boots, a fine Fedora, and an attitude" the attitude is variable-but must contain humility, honesty, thankfulness, and positive direction.
Certainly would look better if I could furnish photographs, and as I spent the better part of two hours in a photo store...no excuse is my only excuse, and I was looking for a handy subject.
Not a strictly vintage outfit, to be sure-but built upon a base of well-worn and loved clothing that has withstood the winds of change over the last century, and seems to be cycling back yet once again.
Thanks for showing me all your photos, and I promise to try and get a few of mine posted, or at least a link to them.

Thank you both! I was aiming for 50's-esque vibe today so you win a prize...if I had a prize to give.

Also the great thing about the 80's is that you can find something cheaply themed from almost any decade for like 3 dollars at Value Village.

I first tried the pocket square to the left, found myself guilty of gross over-matching, and went with the one on the right:

All that suit needs is a waistcoat!

Seriously though, I love your outfit. You've inspired me even more to get a bow tie and wear it with that same nonchalance.

Tak, i lige måde!

I really like your Omegas too - you have some military watches as well, no?

Thanks.

For some reasons all my military watches are swedish:

40s swedish issue military watches - small/unknown brands, all three needs a good workover by a watch repairman. One is branded Leoun (with a lion as a logo) the two others are branded Siduna/Siduna Military. One of them is engraved "Eskil 19/3 1949"

Military style no-name - quite an interesting little watch, though I do not know if it has ever been issued anywhere

Billede007.jpg

40s Eterna - issued by many military forces back in the days. This one was bought by a danish freedom fighter in sweden in 1945, from what is said to be the fist batch of swiss watches coming to sweden for quite a few years, before he returned to denmark to fight in the last days of the war

Sorry for going OT.

Regards.
