Notice the flare to the jacket. It's one of my favorites made of a lightweight tweed of olive brown and tan herringbone with orange and french blue pinstripes. The shoes are Allen Edmonds Hamptons which are a rerelease of one of their original shoes from 1922. And despite it being not as comfortable as later collars the high rounded starched to death collar is my favorite look. I thought I pulled off 1922-24 pretty well.
Wonderful jacket! Is it a repro or original?

It's the same one you're wearing as a full suit here, right?

Yes it is the same one. And the funny thing is it's from 1968...you can find scans online for the original ad from Gimbels online. I still need to have the pants cuffed appropriately as you can see. Whoever designed it pulled off the early 20s quite well. It is one of my favorite suits.

Last Saturday at a function at a casino (I stick to drinking and not gambling these days). Modern suit with a '50s tie and hat.

Hyena, that suit is glorious. And I think the cap and specs work fine.

One of my favorite looks from the Fellows illustrations (that Rabbit recently consolidated into one amazing thread) is a cream jacket with gray flannels. Decided to give it a try:

Today was more causal day with dungarees, leather deck shoes, golf shirt, and Harris Tweed flat cap. The perfect ensamble to wear whilst I cut the lawn with a vintage reel push mower. A very pleasant way to cut the lawn I might add. Talking of vintage clothes, I hope others might enjoy this Jack Hylton recording that features natty clothes.

Thanks for the feedback, gents. I personally like the spectators with the suit very much; the cap I realize doesn't match perfectly but my haircut right now isn't very vintagey, hence why I'm wearing it. You see, I'm not especially concerned with matching everything perfectly. People back in the day didn't always match everything perfectly; that concern borders more on Dandyism - which is perfectly fine - but as long as I'm moderately matched, I don't see what the big deal is.

-Also, yup, this was the deadstock suit I posted a while ago in the suits subforum, and the shirt is actually by Luxire; it was a light blue chambray fabric if I recall, with a little stylized "flower" looking pattern on it... it looked like fabric from an old workwear bandana, if that makes sense. I just searched luxire to put a link here for you, but I can't seem to find it!

I'd seen that Luxire have some patterned fabrics available but hadn't looked at them yet.

On the subject's of the black and white spectators, i think they look fine with that suit but can understand the comment about them not looking right. I have a pair but never quite seem to find the right clothes to match with them. Whereas I have a brown and cream pair which are much more versatile.

But the cap looks splendid with that suit.

Cool. Hopefully I'll be able to find a similar suit one day.

And as long as you like what you're wearing, that's the only thing that matters. :)

A terrible photograph! But anyway; all vintage. 30s spectators, 30s trousers, 20s shirt, 30s crazy belted back jacket with double-pleated pockets (one of my favorites). Thought I'd go tieless today.

Excellent. I really like that everything have pretty much the same colour but still doesn't look too matchy-matchy.
