Miss Slapstick, you remind me of Sally Gray, seen here in 'Cheer Up' (1936):

Wow! is all I can say. Not uncanny but maybe scary. They always say that everyone has a twin somewhere. Miss s you do look great.

I've long been of the opinion that lightweight wool topcoats for the transitional seasons have been missing for many years and deserve reinstatement.
Yeah, there is a dearth of topcoats in the market today. It appears that they've been usurped by the raincoat. Years ago one wouldn't think of wearing a raincoat unless there was rain in the forecast. Maybe it was Bogie who killed the topcoat.:p

I'm sure you're right here. Such topcoats, though around until the 1970s (and Dinerman has obtained a fine one) were being eclipsed by the raincoat much earlier; I remember having an argument with my father when he told me to put on a raincoat to go out on a cool but dry day - I said that a raincoat was not worn for warmth but he wouldn't have it!

Flecked sport coat I bought from Resortes a while back. Everything vintage except the shirt which is a Jantzen copy from a vintage English shirt that belongs to Baron Kurtz.
