Big-time thanks to all for the compliments! As for the lack of a walking stick, I have many and usually carry one, but that day I was stickless because I was doing some photography which requires two hands and I have a tendency to get preoccupied and walk off leaving my stick behind.

I find it amusing to dress like that for a walk on the beach since it's populated mostly by old guys in baggy shorts and flip-flops who look at me like I'm crazy (though I get a lot of smiles and nice comments from the old ladies). Old is the operative word here - our town (Qualicum Beach), while quite lovely and charming, has a population comprised of around 75-80% geezers over 65. We also have more millionaires per capita than any other town in Canada. I alas, am not among them.

"Without my walking stick, I'd go insane
Can't look my best, I'd feel undressed without my cane

Must have my walking stick 'cause it may rain
And when it pours, can't be outdoors without my cane

If I ever left my house without my walking stick
It would just be something I could never explain

The thing that makes me click on Lovers' Lane
Would go for naught if I were caught without my cane"

My Walking Stick, Irving Berlin

Great look cpdv - it's amazing what vintage-esque ties are out there if one keeps their eyes peeled. At JosABank, no less!

You are correct. That is a beautiful car--made all the more attractive by the lovely young lady in front of it.

I wore a brown '50s McGregor Anti-Freeze jacket with a railroad striped shirt, dark jeans and a brown belt, and brown WWII reproduction Service Shoes Type II. This is generally my casual attire, or khakis or brown desert boots.
