I thought the back of these trousers are worth noting because of the nice buckle and tailoring but also the unusual upward flap back pocket

There is a discussion of that style of pocket flaps somewhere on the lounge. I think it might be in the 'Show us your German suits' thread. (or maybe in the 'Show us your British suits' where the differences between British and continental tailoring is discussed??)

Do those trousers have a label? It would be interesting to know their origin.

Hard to take decent photos in that weather and arm is too short for fullbody shot.
Suit is my repro serge suit and does its job well and does not let melting snow in. To My Akubre Fed IV this is just another day at the office.

My panama, shortsleeved sky-blue shirt, brown vest and cravat and jeans (I do apologise).

What's more interesting is the guy with his arm around my back. I bumped into him at the platform (almost literally) when I was getting on the train (where this photograph was taken). I haven't seen him in seven years!...and out of the blue, we happened to show up on the same platform at the same time, and board the same train.

Who is he?

He was my house-master and geography teacher back in highschool! His name's Ken James.

if that ain't a shock to run into your old schoolteacher, I don't know what is...

You've come a long way, kid. I remember when you were gettin' some guff for doing the vintage thing. You're showin' 'em now just how cool a guy can be when he sticks to his guns and keeps refining his personal style!

Thanks for the nice complement , I have been getting bashed around here lately , so it's nice to hear something positive.

Hey Frank, not sure why anyone would be "bashing you around" in my opinion your posts are always must read/view.... I'm a big fan of your style and you always look great! Keep doing what you do!
