Thanks. Yeah I've got one pair of braces that I converted from clips to buttons but I'm in the market for some Albert Thurston's.

i only own one pair of thurstons there the white moire ones as worn by bond in casino royale. i own a few pairs of braces i love them i own 3 skinny pairs with clips 1 black 1 purple 1 striped and two pairs that came with jeans. The only time i ever seen an aussie in braces was sam Hopper on apprentice and a few times on home and away. I also own lots collar bars i prefer the clip on type more than pin but i also own two shits with holes and a barbell collar bar.

For some reason I've managed to catch myself at the most unflattering angle possible, but never mind. Here's me today:

Calf length straight knit skirt
Cardi w leather belt
Pearls & brooch (the only truly vintage item)
And ridiculously high-heeled brogues that are not at all era appropriate!

I would never have spotted those as an anachronism.... what is it puts them "out of date" - heel height? Either way, I think they look great.
