very very very rarely indeed. i still find DBs difficult to wear unless it's to some sort of formal, dressy event. i really only tried that suit on as i was photographing it for the Brit suits thread.
my usual day to day look is now more of a 1920s collegiate / rugged-dandy hybrid
Very cool! :eusa_clap I agree on the SB vs DB thing. They are easier to pull off nowadays and more versatile.

But the DB 1930s suit you posted before is so neat... I am envious.

I like the way you combined the browns and blues in that outfit Will. Incidentally I bought that exact shoe recently inspired by a post on your blog over a year ago, and I must say you have style to combine such a casual suit with such elegant outfits.

Much appreciated. :)

Oh, that's almost enough to make me wish I were a man! You gents all look very elegant.

I have to remind myself that I get to wear pearls and heels, even if suits will never look as good on me. :)

All a bit modern, I'm afraid, but, as worn to a meeting with my Minister:

Navy hopsack suit, T.M. Lewin
Pale blue shirt with rose, navy and dark brown white-bordered stripes, Charles Tyrwhitt
Navy boxcloth braces, Albert Thurston
Chocolate brown full brogues, George Webb
Rose silk tie, Hawes & Curtis
Dark brown pocket handkerchief with white spots, RL Polo
Vintage octagonal MoP cufflinks
Vintage Maenson D/B overcoat
Vintage brown leather fur-lined gloves
Stetson Pinnacle beaver fur fedora
Cheap watch!

Headed out to dinner. I want to make a quick plug for the Cordial Churchman, a mom and pop from SC who handcraft bowties for very reasonable prices. The one I am sporting today is a wool number I received from them this week. I have four of their bowties - their patterns are classic, and they will do virtually any shape you want. Check 'em out on the web!

Beautiful, Emily. Nice to know women with such taste as those of you who post on the FL exist somewhere. Anthony, are you impressed with the quality and fit of Tyrwhitt shirts? Their catalog seems to have found me. Their shirts are certainly more varied in color and pattern than what I usually poke through at BB.

Yes, I am pleased with mine; I would say that they are probably at the lower end of Jermyn Street quality, but a perfectly acceptable shirt and good value for money if you can get them at sale rates. The fact that they offer a range of sleeve lengths is good, and I find their standard cut is roomy enough to be comfortable. I also like T.M.Lewin shirts, which are around the same quality and price point, with the added bonus that they offer tunic shirts, and also that there is a sale shop near me...

Hi everyone!

You all look so great! It has been a while since I've posted anything. :(

Wore this 1950s taffeta party dress recently along with 50s gloves, 40s purse and accessories.
