Also, what are members' thoughts on the shorter pants look, or no break? Is it ever acceptable or correct? The suit I was talking about is just a little bit over the no break definition, which is why I brought up my question. They look OK with ankle boots, but high while just wearing shoes.
There are a few threads about this. It was certainly fashionable in the 20s and the 60s to go with no break and show some socks.

Hi Hamilcar Barca, that's a nice suit regardless, but you mentioned your pants are a little short. One of my suits has the same length on me; it was made in the 1960s for my shorter grandfather. How would one go about lengthening the pant length? If you know what it entails, I would appreciate the advice. Thank you!

Check the leg openings for any extra fabric. Any tailor can lengthen the pants based on how much extra
material there is in there.

Just got my Magnoli Casablanca tie in yesterday after work, which worked out perfectly as I'd gone thrift shopping before work and found a brand new Thomas Pink shirt in my size with a white spread collar and white mitered French cuffs with a variegated navy blue striped white body to wear that new gorgeous tie with! I'm going to put them together with fine gauge crimson woolen knee high stockings (unfortunately, not clocked :/ ), my orange with wine striped pocket scarf, and my charcoal gray three piece peaked lapel cashmere wool blend suit (custom made for me), and my tan pig-skin wing-tips that I just had re-welted! I'll try and get a picture up if my phone is behaving....For some reason, the access software for my new camera isn't being accepted by my computer so I can't download my photos! Ugh!

Texas Lunches serve a style of hot dog, which seems fairly regional to PA. Split, grilled dog with mustard, chili sauce and chopped raw onions. Very much a holdover from the 1920s.
