Love the shirt - and the tie. Cat hair is a permanent fixture of my own wardrobe - even on clothes that have never been i the same room as the cats....

crazydaisy, re your recent gallery: Some advice Janet Klein once received from her grandmother-- "If you're going to the movies, keep a hatpin in your purse... in case you run into a masher."

Great to see you here, Baroness!

Thank you Stearman and Dubya for the nice comments regarding my previous entry, that just about saved it from a cold shoulder reaction :). Although quantity didn't impress overall, was worth a try.

Here is my latest, but it will have to get a lot warmer until I can actually wear this.

Great to see you, too! Adorable curls and I like your expression, at right. As for it being too cold for this beauty, why, don't forget you have your divine new 20s coat to keep you covered!! :)

I have always had Newfoundlands, though they tend to shed semi-annually (and completely), because of their black fur, I've never erally had a noticeable problem. That is, until I acquired a second one, a Landseer. Nobody told me that they are a completely different temperament(much more rambunctious, but still sweet) and coat. Good heavens, white and black hair EVERYWHERE. And the best effort to keep them downstairs, away from closets, etc. is nullified by getting into the car, where their hair is always loose in there, despite my attempts to keep the back seat pet cover clean. Just open that sunroof and the blizzard starts. But that's the price of good company; just that I am no longer am safe in black corduroys.

Something about an undone tie is alright in my book. It seems to say "Yes, at one point today I was planning on looking formal. But between then and now, something awesome happened." That sentiment may well make me unpopular around here...

Thank you Baroness, one can always count on a good word from you!

TipTop, every little one of those hairs is well worth it. Says one which seems condemned to a life of misery without animals.

And sporting my new blackbird tie, albeit with a huge knot - still, if you remember my last one, you might notice an improvement.

Gene and Daisy great looks.

I had a fund raising dinner to go to tonight so it was an excuse to wear some new items in the closet:
Hickey Freeman early 50s sportcoat, HF 1950s trousers, Marc Chevalier special Duke shirt, great 1940s India themed tie, vintage collar bar and cufflinks, and my 1940s Dobbs 20.

Marc, you are the only man I've ever seen who ALWAYS makes 100% vintage looks look fantastic. I can work a couple of vintage items into an outfit, but have not ventured into the realm of Total Submersion. Those Plus 4's are very hard to pull off well, but you do it perfectly.
