Here is one with my daughter Mary Elizabeth, and her pup - she calls him Jackson (after Fort Jackson, where we got him) and I call him Stumpy (because of his short legs). M.E. is smiling really big 'cause she now has not only a dog, but a "Droid" phone - that is what one gets when one brings home straight A's on her Honors classes!!

Here is a swinging bridge across the Tuckaseegee River, between Sylva and Bryson City, NC - I have passed it a thousand times in the past 47 years, but had never stopped before today. About a dozen leaf-lookers had stopped as well, and one of them kindly snapped my pic.

Thanks.

If you're bigger than me, then you must be really big. I'm 6'-6" and 360 lbs. Some people have said that my picture weighs two pounds and that anyone who would shine my shoes for a quarter would paint a battleship for a dollar. :D

We weigh the same, but I'm 5'9". <whimper>

I'm working on remedying that, but it was so much easier and so much more fun putting the weight ON....

Thanks Missis! Yes it is an interesting little bat-cave. It's 15tth century, stupidly low ceiling, hence the space-age, silver padded beams. (High visibility dontcha know). We had so many people knocking their heads on the beams it was ridiculous. Even with signs up!

Thanks Miss G - I think i look a bit like i'm in man drag, i'm not used to tucking all my hair away!

The shop is very quirky, it's quite random, but we wanted people to feel relaxed and feel they can have a good rummage! (Me included, that's a perk of the job!). The luggage scales behind me someone left out in the rubbish next door!

Ooh I love old buildings like that! My house is a very small 17th century two up, two down with conservatory and bathroom built on the side (not an outside privvy mind!) :D

Thanks Lolly. They are indeed! It's actually a fifties coat, but it kind of works i think, as you can stand the collar up and it's astrakhan on both sides, which is neat. A dear friend of mine gave it to me, as it was her late Mum's, soi'm a lucky girl!

I'll be returning to my usual 40's/50's style, so i'll be good and try and post some pics!
