Lord have mercy Maggie, you are cute as can be.

But to my chagrin, I just discovered, via Maggie's blog, that she is the same age as my eldest daughter..thsi getting old thing is a drag. I do wish my girls would dress like that though, instead of baggy sweats and crocs.

gorgeousness and gorgeosity.

^ What he said. Wow what a pretty gal. :) Striking!
Sproily, you're 'the man' in Finland obviously.

We now witness the look and smile that made men throw a perfectly good brand new coat right over a mud-puddle for a lady to walk over.. Then again, many ladies do deserve such chivalry, if you have enough spare coats of course. hehe

Thanks for the comments!

I sacrificed the cuffs on the trousers and added faux cuffs, 2" deep like the originals. I squeezed all the length I could out of those trousers and they're still about 1"-2" short for proper wear with the vest (no shirt showing between vest and trousers).

Love it though, even with it's flaws. :D

But none of this changes the fact that the hook-and-loop fastener, known to most under the trade name Velcro, was in fact invented in 1941. And last time I checked, that was some years prior to 1955.
The date of inception is moot as Mr. de Mestral did not begin to produce velcro until he had attained a patent, in 1955.

To be clear: velcro was not available to the public before 1955, when Mr. de Mestra secured the patent and became the sole manufacturer of his invention.

BTW, nothing is formally discovered or invented until there are papers written or patents filed; at least for the last century.

I am very familiar with these problems, being 6'2". You have dealt with them more gracefully than I usually can. Bravo!

Thanks. As you know, it's fairly difficult being tall. Though, Dinerman has done pretty well and he's 6'2" like us!

Actually, I don't know if I'll wear the vest underneath the jacket again since it's rarely seen. Though even if I do, I never open the jacket so the shirt poking out will never be seen. Win/win either way.

NatNast Silk sportsjacket
Tarantula Hollywoodwaist pants
Puritan 50's inspired atomic-print tie
Light-pink cotton shirt
White bucks (you don't see them  )

6'2" is 187cm right? I'm 186 :p

Man, it's a real challenge finding me a good-fitting vintage suit or whatever being 6'5" ... :rage: lol Can you imagine the sleeves on an average of the peg vintage XL-shirt? let alone suit.. :(

It always makes me happy to visit this thread to see how fun and dapperly FLers put themselves together. Almost makes up for the saggy, baggy, couldn't-care-less look I encounter out there in the real world. ;)
Today I'm mixing my prints and tweeds, and I don't care. Autumn is here!
