Oh, Apples to Apples... that's a great game. One of my favorites.

;) Also, you look great! Around the house indeed! You're a heck of a lot better dressed than 99% of people you see in public.

My university gives a very generous Easter break so I had the day off today. Didn't do much, cleaned the house and went to see my tattoo artist, so no one really got to see this outfit.

The strap trousers are from Vivian of Holloway, they have a darling little pocket at the hip. The blouse is vintage and I'm pretty sure that it is handmade. It has a scalloped neckline with a ruched band running just below it and buttons down the back.

ClaraB, wonderful! :eusa_clap My wife loves the trousers as well.

I haven't looked at this thread in a few days, but I see lots of fantastic looking people have slipped more pictures in in the mean time. :eusa_clap

And while I normally don't care for long hair on men, somehow it works for Nick. I have no idea what the difference is, but it just works. :D And that is a spectacular suit, btw!

Ummmm....how about "yesterday...."?

Dear Fellow-loungers,
I had never posted a photo of myself until yesterday....at around midnight. Now that I think about it, I posted it in the wrong place: the "what HAT did you wear today" thread....although I am wearing a hat

Anyway, it probably should have gone here. Sorry for the double-posting, but I'm a slow learner. You have probably figured that out by now. To recapitulate:

The True "Skeet" revealed....
Yesterday, on the way out to Mass for Holy Thursday. The tietac is a Ciborium with Host (this is the Feast commemorating the Last Supper and the Institution of the Eucharist). It's hard to know how to dress for this most schizophrenic Feast in the Catholic calendar: it starts out festive and joyous...and a couple of hours later, ends somberly in a stripped, darkened church. Red tie with gold pattern; black suit; black Borsalino. The bit of highlight showing at the breast pocket is the corner of the round-lensed black reading glasses my age has reduced me to using...don't own a black-banded wristwatch....I should really do something about that....

A happy Passover to our Jewish, and best wishes for a joyous Easter to our Christian, fellow-Loungers!

What a fabulous set of photos from everyone, you all look so fabulous!

But I must say; ClaraB, that blouse is absolutely stunning as are the trousers! You look quite breathtaking! :D

I know the clothes are the point, but nice goatee mate...
Thank you my friend. I'm having a very minor crisis with the whiskers just now. I have grown out the ends of the moustache (the walrus whiskers) so that I may wax them when the occasion arises. The problem is the occasion never arises. I can't quite bring myself to wax the 'stache for the office, and I would feel silly (sillier than usual) just wearing them around the house that way. Perhaps I should just take the plunge and wear them waxed to work one day and see how it goes. Or I should clip the silly things off. One or the other.

Go for it, wax away...

I can relate though on the reluctance to cut it. Any time I make a change it's frightening. There's a lot of time involved in cultivating a mustache that long.

Dear SP...Another vote for "just wax them" and be done with it. When most of what I was doing, professionally and otherwise, centered around the turn of the 20C, I did....and the world didn't end. Let's face it: dressing as you do (and as I did) at the office....I doubt this will be a bit whoop to those who see you on a regular basis. In this, as in all things regarding personal appearance: make sure you know what will please YOU...then do it...and let the chips fall where they may. What the rest of the world (including us) thinks is of little import.

Here's me with mine:

Hey, you're better looking...you'll stand a MUCH better chance of carrying it off!

Cheers,
"Skeet"
