Easter brunch at a local hotel. Ham, turkey, pasta, etc . I wore a regular navy blue suit. I noticed that only a few men wear suits or even slacks. Some even wore jeans. You can find a cheap suit anywhere these days. Why do some men choose not to dress up on Easter? Do they feel they are making a statement? Is there something wrong with me?

A common modern piece of style advice is 'match tie width to lapel width' try doing that with those lapels...! ;)
Love the tweed sportscoat, but the outfit that stands out for me is the one with the blue tie, very subdued but with a lot of substance!

With my youngest brother. I decided to do late 20s early 30s for Easter with my late 20s flannels and french pinchord jacket the collar is also vintage and is an arrow from around 1915 or so.

Nice looks today, guys. Two Types, those are some nice outfits you have there :) Very interesting lapels with loads of character. CPDV I like your overall look but the jacket might be a little short?

Anyways, here's what I wore yesterday for church

This is advice that is typically seen on the other big clothing forums. I think narrower ties could look good with wider lapels, and the opposite could also be true. The ties I normally wear are narrow, between 2.25" and 3" wide, and my lapels are between 2.5" to 2.75" wide, so my style is already consistent with the advice, although I don't follow it as a rule.

The 'belly' on those lapels is something I have really grown to love. Next time I have a suit made, I intend to have very similar lapels. It appears that it's a style that was very popular in eastern Europe. Indeed, there is a thread somewhere on the FL showing pre-war Romanian fashions, that includes that style of lapels.

My pants were a tad lower than they should be as I was wearing a belt instead of braces. I also have an oddly proportioned body 27.5 inseam but a more or less "normal" torso.

I haven't seen American examples. To be honest, I rather like the eastern European comparison (but speaking as a graduate of The School of Slavonic and East European Studies, you might expect me to say that!).

You and your brother are both extremely stylish. I like it! Although I have my reservations about the colour of the bowtie.
