My fault, gentlemen. Hijack wasn't intended, but my tongue in cheek comment seems to have caused a bit of a ruckus! To make amends, here's my outfit from the other day :D

I've been watching this thread for a while now - but this is my first post here. I've been posting in the various hat threads for a while now

I must say that I so appreciate the quality of the photos, clothing, locales, and the humor with which you all display your apparel.

The fedora is an early '50s Royal Stetson. The jacket is probably late '50s. The bow tie, mag tak lapel pin, and Asian pocket silk from the same vintage. I suspect the Italian waistcoat may be a bit newer. For some reason, I enjoy wearing clothing that was manufactured around when I was born (late '50s).

Very nice, Andy, and great lid. Here's what I'm wearing today, because contrary to what some think, it does rain in Southern California:

Penney's Marathon fedora, Griffon Clothes suit (early '40s), Cardinal Custom Neckwear cravat, and vintage Sears, Roebuck shirt.

Andy & Widebrim,
You both look really slick.
I very much like the dark brown, widebrim. Looks Great !
I have been tryin' to find myself a '30's era brown wool 3 pc. My "wishlist" would be something in the neighborhood of a med. or darker brown 3pc .
I had caught quite a bit of a 1998 film, The Newton Boys. There is a 2 pc that Matt McConoaughey's
character is wearing just after returning home from a stint in prison at the beginning of the film.
That plain brown wool 2 pc has been stuck in my head ever since but as a 3 pc.
