What a week!

....okay, I'm almost embarrassed to admit....but I had a couple MORE hats arrive today (from a recent flurry of activity on that auction site ).....I have mentioned before my weakness for "Champ" hats.....so I couldn't resist this one. I was also able to "steal" a good looking Dobbs 20 homburg.

Here's the Champ. The pictures don't really do the color combo justice IMO. It's kind of a unique brownish/grey felt with a silverish/grey ribbon.

....and the Dobbs Homburg....

They dont make hats like that anymore!! That homburg is 50 years old and the curl on it is perfect . I wish I could buy new hats like that!!

What's the hat in the background of your second Champ photo (sitting on your desk)? It looks like an olive-green-brown color with a brown ribbon. Thanks!

ledsled, you are correct....the hat in the background is a Dobbs that I received just a day or two before these others. It has what I think of as an unusual color combo....a grey/green "longish" felt with a brown, almost taupe ribbon. I have been lucky lately in finding some unique color combos in my size.

I think my champ might have that same color to it.
It's light grey, but in certan light it looks to have a tinge of purpleish brown in it. Is that what yours is like in person?
