That’s a nice snag, HJ. Don’t see many full blown Knox westerns and that’s a unique one. Very Arminto like. Beautiful liner.
Thanks BB. I'm going to contact Saddle and Sirloin Club to see if I can learn more of their 75 yr history, & if Woolf was a founding member.

I'm surprised more Stetson Arminto's don't show up. They were in the catalogs from the 1920's to ~1957.

Look forward to what you can find.

I’m surprised as well. Had to be selling some to keep them in the lineup that long. Outside of the old beauty Alan has, those late 60’s “American Royal” repops like mine are the only ones I’ve seen.

Looks great! Is that a meerschaum/Bakelite Dublin?
Thanks Jeff. The pipe is a meerschaum block billiard with a Catalin stem. It was one of my dad's pipes that I have. I smoked it on Memorial Day, let it rest a day, then again on Wed before putting it away.

I don't have the Western Derby look down as well as you do.

One last post of my wife’s Nutria westerns. I carefully removed the braided cord from the black Real Nutria quality, which was sewn in through the sweat and reed. It had no structural integrity for the sweat, and I suppose was added to help shrink the size of the hat down a touch. I retied it onto the Nutria quality and I think I think it looks much better, no sewing needed.
