Maiden voyage under a Knox American Royal.
That's a mighty nice one, Jack, and if you feel the need to post more pics of that interesting brim testament I'll be happy to give it a better look. It's pretty cool!!View attachment 338226

Thanks Dale. The underbinding is 3-cord & the crown ribbon is 6-cord but I'm having trouble focusing in close enough. That's a mighty nice one, Jack, and if you feel the need to post more pics of that interesting brim testament I'll be happy to give it a better look. It's pretty cool!!

Thanks BB. I'm going to contact Saddle and Sirloin Club to see if I can learn more of their 75 yr history, & if Woolf was a founding member. That’s a nice snag, HJ. Don’t see many full blown Knox westerns and that’s a unique one. Very Arminto like. Beautiful liner.

I'm surprised more Stetson Arminto's don't show up. They were in the catalogs from the 1920's to ~1957.
Looks great! Is that a meerschaum/Bakelite Dublin?Headed out under the Western Derby.

Thanks Jeff. The pipe is a meerschaum block billiard with a Catalin stem. It was one of my dad's pipes that I have. I smoked it on Memorial Day, let it rest a day, then again on Wed before putting it away.Looks great! Is that a meerschaum/Bakelite Dublin?
