New straw for my birthday. American Hat Company out of Bowie, TX purchased at the fantastic Best Hat Store in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. CHL brim and crown shape (Best Hat will serve you a cold beer while their guys are shaping your hat). Andy did it up right!

I was pleased to be able to wear this hat in the state where it was made. My first time not just driving across Texas last week, in Fort Worth. Some of the best fajitas I’ve had in years, too.

The Homburg style roll one binding on the wide brim is a pretty cool touch. It looks good!

I really like how boxy the crown is and how the side dents don’t go down far from the top of the crown. You wear the large brims well, but this 7X CB is outstanding too.

Thank you, DH. This hat is kind of a ‘one trick pony’, in that it doesn’t look quite right with any other bash and seems to want the cattleman. Every time I reshape, it’s short lived.

Thanks, Mark. They get worn every week and are my only set of braces, can’t find anything better yet.
