Thank you! That is a fantastic looking hat!
Nice job TJ! Looks like you pretty much nailed it. It turned out great and suits you well.I finished my Resistol Ridgetop. Everything that was original to the hat, except for the sweatband, was reused. I reblocked this from a 7 1/8 LO to a 7 1/4 LO. The original block profile was completely changed on my RA block. The brim on this one was originally 3 1/2 inches but it looks like the previous owner cut it down to 3 1/4 inches. After reblocking the hat the new open crown height was 5 3/4 tall. So to make the brim more proportionate to the crown height I cut the brim down to 3 inches wide. I creased the crown to a Cattleman and gave the brim a moderate "Cowboy" curl.

Nice work! That crease looks good.Had this old Stetson in the goodwill pile but then pulled it back. It had high fenders and a standard cattlemen’s crease. I steamed the brim down and tried a quick mule kick. Now I think I’ll add it to my hiking/ law work hats. View attachment 334423 View attachment 334421 View attachment 334422
Nice hat, James.View attachment 334471
I really like this Canadian Stetson I took it right out of the box from Canada and started wearing it on my walks through the woods
Has anyone looked at the resistol chute or sundown? Looking for a review.
