It all depends on what you want to accomplish. Different block shapes for different styles and creases, and different flanges for different flange styles.

I like single strands of hair pipe. Much more understated & elegant looking than the multi strand choker look.

Love the bound brim and fedora width ribbon. Looks like an outsized western-fedora...the best of both worlds. I’d shim it if needed, but definitely a keeper.

I don't know what the rules are for listing OFAS auctions, but I just came across a beautiful black Stetson No. 1 that needs a little TLC, but it's still got plenty of potential. I guess you guys can send me a PM and I'll send you the link. I'd get it but it appears to be too small. The seller said it measured about 22 1/2.

The...”etiquette” here is we don’t list live auctions unless you’re the one selling the hat. There isn’t any published rule as such, but the consensus is as we are all potential competitors it’s up to the individual to ferret out deals. Of course, you can always send a PM to a friend(s) you think might be interested. I learned this rule the hard way when new

Thanks, Dd. Nothing beats black and red together for me. The shirt is one of another mild obsessions of mine, Pendleton High Grade Western Wear shirts, especially the older white/cream labeled ones as this one is. It's old enough to have the pen/glasses slot in the pocket flap.

She was Ojibwa born in MN. Her daughter is/was a professor either at Haskell Indian College or KU, I've forgotten which. The seed beads are tiny to get that much fine detail. There are actually a tiny bit of blues & grays that aren't fully exposed in a photograph due to being a black hat.
