Resistol 5X Beaver

Not sure when this was made but the beaver felt is smooth and relatively light weight for a Western. The “Crystal” colored felt with the pastel ribbon done by Alley Kat works for my Island lifestyle.

Hope everyone had a nice Turkey Day! The misses and I aren’t real big on this one so we got outta dodge and camped in Joshua Tree. Freezing temps, sleet, rain and then finally and inch of snow meant we were only staying one night, but we woke up yesterday to pretty much wide open park. Incredible! Thanks Bob! These newer ‘Polariod Originals’ aren’t nearly as good as the true OG brand, but instant photography is still a fun novelty for us.

I just won a used but good looking brown Stagecoach in 7 5/8. I got it for a steal and no one has to worry about me chopping the brim. It appears to be a 3 1/2-4" brim. My only plans for it is to clean it and put a Gus bash on it and leave the brim relatively flat, maybe a slight raise on the fenders. That's it. I haven't been able to find a new hat in almost two years, so I'm really pumped to win it. I can post a picture if anyone is interested in seeing it.

Thanks DD, Pioneertown and Pappy and Harriets are a special place for sure. Every time we come to the desert we stop in there. Thanksgiving day it was closed, smart choice I’d say (taken 2 hours after the polaroid)

You might check Joao's chart. He has detail on a lot of models in the Stagecoach line. I have two: a Tanbark Dry Gulch (4x6-1/2) model & a black Outlaw (4-1/2x6-3/4).

Yea, I checked his page but couldn't find this specific style. I have 5 or 6 that I've converted into fedoras since it's so hard to find tall crown ones in my size. I'm leaving this one the way it is since I've got plenty conversions. They are great hats. Dobbs also made the Stagecoach line. I don't know the connection between they and Resistol but I buy anyone in decent shape that fits, regardless the brand.

Both of mine are 7-5/8 if you have any interesting trades down the line. I wear the Tanbark but haven't worn the black much.
