] Couple of quick shots of a new hat of mine from Havstad Hat Company. This one is kind-of a modified Gus that Cate made for me. This color is one she dyes herself using desert sage.
Oh wow! You certainly have some nice hats.........I would love to find one like that! Well If you ever tire of itEarlier this afternoon, running late for a late lunch meeting.

Any 7XCB or Stetson One-Hundred deserves to rest in one of these. I've only seen one in person.

Maybe DD can do some leather carving?
New to me O'Farrell passed along by Bob Hufford.
When I saw these pics I thought of Mike Barranti and how much he might charge to create something like this... $$$$Any 7XCB or Stetson One-Hundred deserves to rest in one of these. I've only seen one in person.

There used to be almost monthly, then quarterly Western memorabilia auctions around here but now we're down to only one or two a yr, & you have to drive 200 miles to get to those. I remember a similar leather hat case going thru one of those auctions a long time back. That's a beauty. I've never seen one in person.
I was wondering how many hundreds of hrs would go into the leather carving. When I saw these pics I thought of Mike Barranti and how much he might charge to create something like this... $$$$
We have similar results here in Nebraska too. About 20'' on the ground now. Ugh!!I feel for you,Greg, but you ought to try keeping supplies when having this kind of fun every 3/4 days . View attachment 157435
+1Man, that is a perfect hat! I like those dimensions, and in 7XCB, with just the right crease! Boots aren't too shabby either!

From a 1931 McKibbin wholesale catalog. Interesting but somewhat limited felt western hats....VERY interesting western inspired straw hats however!!! More on this catalog here: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/thr...lden-era-from-other-than-stetson.92423/page-7
