I lost weight with the popular "sonja bakker" diet. ( it was very popular in holland) and now I'm not really gaining weight anymore, I do hula hoop every day for the last month or so and It really works, I feel even muscles I didn't know I had them

Can anyone suggest a free online diet tracker? I have used weight loss resources.com in the past but it's not free and I'm on a saving mission now. :)

I currently follow a Weston A Price Foundation diet, which reccommends eating all those yummy foods that our grandparents ate during the war and before - good butter, eggs, lard, animal fats, bacon...etc.

So far I've lost about 20 lbs with 20 more to go! I've hit a stall though. My weight hasn't budged for awhile. It'll stop for a few weeks, then go again, but then I'm a rather lazy dieter and my hubby keeps bringing home potato chips and beer! Yummy, but not good for my diet!

What I like in place of potato chips is fried kelp. Cut dried kelp into chip-size pieces, melt ghee in a pan over slightly-over-medium heat, and gently press the kelp into the pan with tongs. (Wear an oven mitt for safety.) Cook a few seconds on each side. Serve with ranch dip (sour cream with spices).

As for beer, I never liked the stuff. Have a light beer, maybe?

I hope this hasn't already been mentioned, and it is NOT vintage, but I have had a lot of luck with Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred DVD. It IS challenging (I promise, even if you are an advanced exerciser you will find it difficult). I have done a lot of workout dvds in my day, and this is just the best!

I feel disappointed in myself even though I know I shouldn't. I lost 2lbs and an inch off my waist since last week but the week before I lost 4lbs and 2 inches off my waist. I feel bad that I didn't lose the same or more. :-(

Wow, that is an enormous weight loss! I'm lucky if I can knock off a pound and a half in a week. Congratulate yourself.

It's been mentioned, but Pilate is fabulous. It will beautifully sculpt your body into a dancers shape. You do need to do it it regularly.
However, I've been doing kettlebell classes for a few months. Wow, the most results I have EVER gotten from any workout. Sadly I only have time for once a week. It was invented around the turn of last century. Warning though, it is a very intense workout.

i am the scruff, 3 inches off your waist in 2 weeks?! wowsa! you should be happy with that. I'd be over the moon!! What are you doing to lose weight?

My goal is to lose 4 inches off my measurements and based on my weight when I was that size compared to now that represents nearly 20 kg! It's really getting me down that I let this much weight creep on! It's happened slowly over 2 years though - a really unhappy 2 years to be fair. But having this much weight to lose is very daunting! especially since I HATE working out... I'm going to start jogging again, but my real plan is to start swing dancing, because I reckon that could be a really fun way to get fit!

I loathe jogging.
I cannot stress how fast someone gets results from the kettlebell class -- although some places may call them bootcamp? I hate working out too -- I go for the most efficient :)

Adding to what jetgirl said, I have also seen it called bootcamp. I've done these but knew it as 'plyos' or plyometric sessions, some involving kettlebells, others involving large tires, medicine and stability balls, etc and they're an intense workout!
Also, I figure most people don't like running, and I never really did either, I still don't some days, but it really helps to work into it, like say, warm up for a good five minutes or so, working up to some fast walking, then for a minute run at a comfortable but still challenging speed, then walk it off for a minute and go back to the running. Go until you're tired, and then try to fit in one more run.
Also, just doing a few weight lifting exercises helps incredibly. You'll increase the muscle mass in your body, which in turn not only makes all other exercise easier, but helps improve your breathing, and increases your metabolism.
Pardon me if I've listed some things you already know or gone on a bit long! These have helped me quite a bit and so I'm eager to spread the wealth.
PS: You're doing awesome. Don't be discouraged if you're not losing it 'fast enough'. Know that you will hit a plateau, and the hardest part is to remember that and keep working through it. I know we all want fast results though :)

Thanks guys :) It's nice to hear it from someone who doesn't feel like they have to (family, friends and boyfriend!) I find it hard to take compliments because I feel that they're lying to me.
I started Diet Chef 2 weeks ago, so that's how i'm losing the weight. It's not cheap, and I could probably do it myself cheaper by sourcing things separately etc but I need a programme to look to or i'll fall off the wagon.

I started blogging about it. I haven't spent much time making it look pretty, and the content is pretty basic but it might be worth a look. http://shortandplump.blogspot.com/

I went on areal intense diet right before a I got married and most women on the diet lost 2-4 pounds a week. I was losing 2-3 pounds a week every week for about 10 weeks then I hit a plateau. I only lost about 8 pounds after that. I never did reach my goal weight but was pretty happy with the weight I did lose. So my point is that it would be unreasonable to expect to lose 4 every week unless your male they can usually lose more than us ladies on a weekly basis. Unfortinetly my weight is now up I didn't change my diet for life and well I did put it back on over 4 years and a pregnancy. I would be careful to try to find a good maintenence program when you reach you goal weight so you do not have to do it all over again.

Yeah I know i'm going to have to find a way to maintain it. I'm hoping that as I lose weight I can get fitter so that once i'm happy with my size then I can exercise too to stop putting it back on.

Drink more water needed to your body.
Take green vegetables and fresh food for eating.
Do some exercise.

How to explain the fact that I feel hunger 1 hour after a meal?
I digested it in an hour?
All of it?
Is that possible?? (Or am I some type of "human garbage box")?
Fast metabolism? How "fast" can it really be?
Because, it's the same for me. When I eat all the time, and when I try all you ladies listed above.. my weight differs in 1kg. I do work out, and I do walk a lot.. but, is there a way for me NOT to eat all the money in my pocket?
