My 'the bon Marche' is made by Seattle Woolen and has the same back design. Different front though.

Here's the same jacket with a Seattle Woolen label. (Not mine)

Very similar but not the same back. The yoke of course is different. The half belt is also wider/bigger on yours. And the bi swing back doesn't go as far down on yours compared to the Seattle Woolens.

Very nice jacket. And that collar is a statement!

The black x grey Kit Karson is my personal favorite!

My KK jacket same model but the belt is cut off.
Not mint condition like the book, I had this repaired for some times including the label.
Front zipper is talon, sleeve is conmar.

Marvin's in Tokyo has a rack full of vintage grails at reasonable prices. A couple of j24, j82, Californian mc jackets, Californian halfbelts, kit karson, top line, HD, Cal, police jackets, two 30s Hercules barnstormers, some unknown maker 30s halfbelts, a nice Admiral Byrd. Crazy to see so many nice jackets in one place. Crammed together like it's 80s junk lol.

Nice looking shop! How reasonable are the prices? What did they want for the Admiral you are holding?

OK, I found their website.

There are reasonable prices there. The Llana Goatskin jacket size 42 looks like a bargain.

I'm pretty interested in one of the jackets on their online store but these plastic hangers are making me nervous. Did you notice any hanger creases / damage on their jackets?

Really cool updates, enjoy your trip!
Some were in near mint condition, others had crusty shoulders or collar. It might be wise to ask for additional pics before you pull the trigger.

Visiting vintage stores throughout Japan I've seen and handled a lot of vintage grails. Buco's, beck, star glove, langlitz, cal, sears Hercules, east west musical instruments, Lewis leathers, Levi's, Schott, Peter's, durable, Grizzly jackets, you name it. Except for a leathertogs, haven't found one of those for sale yet.
