Vintage bathroom

Hi everyone!

It´s not exactly golden era, but I have the luck to have a bathroom from the 50s/early 60s that is still in it´s original state. I´m talking of pastell mint-green Tiles on the wall and bathtube and pink and grey mosaik-stones on the floor. However I feel that my everyday stuff steals it a bit of the charme and wanna replace it with more vintage looking stuff (yeah, my peelings will never look vintage and surely not my shower gel, but I´d like some vintage looking acessoires for it to at least creat a illusion). Anyone having ideas how to make my cute bathroom even cuter for not too much money? I might go and post some pics of it at the weekend. Keep in mind it´s super-duper-tiny (like maybe two yards).

It would be great to hear some ideas!!!

RetroModelSari, you could put your lotions and gels in old bottles. Your cosmetics could be stored in a vintage train case. Powders in old glass powder boxes or new Airpsun by Coty which looks old. Cotton balls in old containers from the antique shop or outdoor market. They don't have to match. For pictures on the wall, a charming old print. The ones I have are of a desert and an island. Don't use a framed old advertisement as people back then didn't display advertisements on their bathroom walls as decoration. Is this the kind of advice you are asking?

Yeah! that´s aqlready tons of good advice and helpfull pictures!!! I´ll go and postpics when I´m done with overworking it. It looks really similar to Mr. Hs 2nd pic, just that my sink is a plain white. But the floor is really similar!

Some vintage hand towels would also look nice hanging up. You can still find vintage shower curtains on places like eBay even. Perhaps some cute curtains made from vintage/repro fabric. I also use vintage planters/bowls/vases to put things in. On one counter, I have a vintage McCoy bamboo planter that holds my hairbrushes and on the other counter I have a vintage flamingo planter to hold things like pony tail holders and handbands.

Hi everyone!

As promised here are some pics of my 50s bathroom. The strange streaks and stuff are no dirt... they are from converting the size lol I´ll post more pics when I managed to make it look even more vintage





There is a company that is specialised on selling vintagey products that they buy from companies that has been ding the same stuff for hundreds of years and decades. I´ve been there yesterday and those will be my first purchases to vintage up my bathroomwhen I get my payment for this month:
