Unmarked sports coat?

I got this today and it doesn't have one tag on it. It's wool and medium thick. Why wouldn't there be any maker's tags, etc.? It that normal? I didn't pay alot for this so please tell me what you think. If it's a cheap coat from the 1950s then so be it? Thanks!

While unusual, it is not unheard of for a vintage sportcoat to not have a tag. It looks like early fifties, which is good. It would look great with a flashy hand painted tie, or over a striped t shirt, or sport shirt or even a vintage hawaiian, or a gaberdine convertible collar shirt. this is an under appreciated look in my opinion.
