I just love how bold and daring the new Thedi designs are this year.

Take the new MTC-127984 for example. Probably his busiest cafe jacket. It's a bit much... but I love it! It borrows the pin stripes from the Langlitz Cascade, and combines them with a D-pocket at chest level, reminiscent of the Lost Worlds Buco Rider. The shoulder and elbow padding is a bit refined over previous years. And are those open-gusset zippers on the cuffs? This looks like something you'd see in a movie, or in a rock star's wardrobe. Not many could truly pull it off. I think it's the most bad-ass thing I've seen in some time.

This is probably my second favorite of his designs, they offered this style last year, but this grey color puts a different twist on it, and I like it a lot.

Here's something I really haven't seen before, on the MTC-141159/9: diagonally aligned chest pockets. Ok this is maybe slightly gimmicky. But who else does this? I could see this really working in a red leather, two-toned, with a diagonal stripe in white across the chest incorporating the pockets. Or perhaps other color combos.

This green leather thing that he started with the "Greedo" jacket of last year... it looks like they're pushing it even further this year.

A few of the new designs are leather-textile combinations, which I don't think they've shown before. I can't say I like all of them, and generally I prefer all-leather to hybrid jackets, but this one is eye-catching.

It looks like they're experimenting and letting themselves take more risks this year. And good for them. I don't think there's a maker who has done more innovation year over year, or who excites me with their designs more, at the moment. There's so many high end makers that just do accurate reproductions of classic designs, and that's great, but it's also good that there's at least one who's actively pushing design in new directions.

Would I wear all of them? No... and good thing, too, my bank account couldn't take it if I would! Fortunately for my finances, though, I'm quite sated and satisfied with my recent acquisitions. After buying so many jackets recently, I should be. But I just love seeing what Thedi will come up with next.

Those greens are SICK. I mean that is just nasty cool, smack in the face, gut punch...awesome. Looks like patina on brass. The kind you try to wipe away.

That green cafe racer looks fantastic. A jacket like that with some CE armouring pockets would be superb. The first one is cool too. The Plisken jacket also looks good in the black. Gives it much more of a military / police vibe imo.

Guppy are you trying to drive us broke with all these thedi posts?
Next summer I will definitely pay him a visit.
It seems like there's always so much conversation going on about Aero, Eastman, and RMC/Good Wear/etc. Thedi leather is just as good as any of them, these days, and doesn't get nearly enough recognition for it, from what I can see. They deserve some attention and accolades.

Take pictures when you go! I have never been to Europe, but if I ever visit Greece I would like to see the shop in person and shake hands with Theodoros and buy him a drink.

Beautiful but the grey half belt is my fav by far. The green CR, a lot of European, specifically German makers used to do pockets this way, back in the days. Usually on racing jackets and suits. I've seen Hein Gericke and Harro do this thing, often in blue, red and white. It's awesome in any case.

And can't have.

What about the second, grey one? Figured you'd have it on order by now. Easily the most beautiful Thedi I've ever seen.

That's interesting, I didn't know that! I don't see a whole lot of European jackets. Thanks for the info!

My bank account is safe - they don't really do much for me I'm afraid. Not keen on the patterns or the look of the leather. They're a bit too groovy for me. Having said that I really like this maker and some of the patterns are very creative.

Diagonal button-up, tapered through to the waist & I believe an action back finishing in a half belt? (Jacket #2).
Now that’s cool.
Could even serve as an example to another manufacturer based in Whiskey-land that flaps on pockets CAN be done well.

The grey button up lancer front half belt is pretty much my grail jacket. I’ve thought about asking Aero if they would make a buttoned Bootlegger many times? As I am as broke as it’s possible to be and still be alive right now. I won’t be buying anything soon. I will however be saving those photos for future reference when money allows a new purchase.

These are so awesome, thanks for sharing Guppy! You're right, Thedi does push the limit with their jackets, and in the right direction too. Yes, I might not like all the designs, probably would not be able to carry off all the ones I like too, but damn if these aren't some neat proper designs! LOVE that green Greedo cafe racer - on my wish list now! And Ton312 said it right, patina on brass, the kind you try to wipe away - neat!
