Again, thank you!

Two Types, the suit is definitely American, as the Etsy shop I bought it from sells things found in Wisconsin (or at least it's called WisconsinFound!) The reason I think it looks American is the lapels, but also the rounded fronts. Although it may be just in my feeling that these things make for an American look.

Still, some similar (American) examples, Buster Keaton in 1932, Hart Marx catalog from 1926 and Harold Lloyd in Speedy 1928 (I think the same suit as the Harold Lloyd picture I posted initially)

And yes, contrary to modern belief, like black hats, black suits were common, and commonly worn in this period, and not just for funerals.
