I got a Dobbs Temptation and it was the same thing. Sweet felt, nice pug but the sweat would leave black dye all across my forehead. I had Mike Miller put in a new sweat for me and now it fits like a custom.
I have bought a lot of hats from Hatco Wrangler, Dobbs, Resistol, Stetson's and Knox and this is the first hat to do this.

This arrived Friday. My first narrow ribbon fedora. The brim is 2 5/8". The felt is soft as butter.

I too am amazed that this is your first thin ribbon! I guess I don't pay enough attention... Love the liner logo on this one. I assume it has some real age. Just beautiful.

Know Twenty backbow in grey. Size 7 with the custom edge brim at 6cm and crown at 10,5cm at the pinch. Great proportions and the great quality I've come to expect from Knox. The fairly shallow flange is great. I'm a bit on the fence about the backbow though. I have a few of these and don't seem to wear them much. I'm considering a change of ribbon.

This is my latest Knox. It arrived Saturday but I just had the chance to open the box today. The onion skin is all there but is ripped in a couple of places. I'm not sure if I would call the felt a gray or a taupe. The ribbons have patina and I think they really pop. This for sure will be mine and enjoyed for many years.

Very nice, Bill. It comes across as taupe on my screen.

Received this black 1950s Knox Twenty today. Absolutely no problems that I can find. The felt is flawless and feels fantastic in hand. Open crown is 5 5/8", brim is 2 7/8", and 2" hatband (kinda looks Burgundy in the pictures but is faded black). I have 5 Knox Twenties and this is the first with a Knox price tag that shows the size in sixteenths (7 2/16 vs 7 1/8).
