The Rockport Shoe

I'm thinking of getting a rockport boot.

I just want some imput as to the quality and life-span of this brand of shoe. I've heard its really good. I just want a dang boot is all. :rage:

I seem to recall Rockport was noted for comfy shoes mostly for serious walking.

Sounds like my kinda boot. I walk just about everywhere. Rockport also has nice wing tips.

Rockports for men look nice, but the women's selection is very limited. They make us look like we're wearing orthopedics

...are tough to break in. Not for me, but I know some swear by them.

I just picked up those Rockport wingtips.
They are pretty comfy and have a rubber sole. Very light as well.
I've worn Rockport dress shoes for my everyday work shoes and they are pretty comfortable which is why I usually keep rebuying them as well as being easy on the wallet.
As far as longevity goes it depends. I have two pairs that I split wearing for work. They usually last about a 1 1/2 to 2 years. I could probably get more life out of them but I always manage to scrape the heck out of the top of the shoes.

I have a pair of Dexter wing tips that are pretty nice and silmilar to the Rockports in design, but would like to get some Florsheims again for wing tips.

I'm leaning more towards the boot. Its supposed to be made as a walking boot...I just hope the thing is stitched. Shoes that are glued to the sole tend to peel off after a while.

Blundstones are not beautiful to look at, but they are amazingly tough.
