Hey, I live a few miles from that airport. I guess they have a WW2 themed dance thing there in one of the hangers from time to time.

TLJ, you just missed it; 19th of March! I went as DAK/Luftwaffe c.1942, ala Hans Joachim Marseille. The AZ Wing used to fly a He-111 over Mesa a few years back. Sadly the craft and crew were lost in a Wyoming crash. Hope to see you there next year!

My friend and his fiance went, but I forgot what the date of it was. Are people(civilians) allowed to ride in the planes still? I want to take a ride sometime but I wasn't sure if the option was there.

Thanks for posting that. I needed something to kick my day into high gear and that did it.

G-d, I'd forgotten how much love hanging around old warbirds. haven't done it in years. Every time I think I hear old aero engines overhead I run outside like a kid and scan the skies.

Cheers!

That's a GREAT video! Too bad they won't "play" with our ground crew group. All well, their loss.
