That is one beautiful MalloryThis is NOT my hat, but I felt it needed to be in this thread:
Mallory Stowaway Felt Cravenette with “Mallory Ventilated” crown venting.

Absolutely gorgeous Mallory that I've been salivating over since it was listed. I think the asking price is a bit off-market, however.
Not a lot of comps to use in determining market price. If the sweatband was in better condition I’d buy it.
Welp, swing and a miss there.
Hope it is someone here…has anyone see Max?
It is an interesting overwelt for sure with some "ventilation" in the welt itself. Looks like someone was happy to trim the excess brim off with pinking shears. I might have to put this on the list of things to try in the future. I already have pinking shears the question is did them trim it before or after sewing it down? This is NOT my hat, but I felt it needed to be in this thread:

Nice welting. Looks like a 3-thread overlock stitch to me. My assumption is that the overclocking is done prior to the welt being made and then is stitched down, but who knows maybe there was a machine that did all that in one process. Fantastic hat.The Mallory Ten. The felt is fantastic! The brim is 2 5/8” and not 2 3/4” as stated, but other than that it’s just as described. What I thought was a felted edge, and what still looks like a felted edge from the top, turned out to be one of the nicest underwelts I’ve ever seen. The open crown is approximately 5 1/2 inches and the ribbon is just barely over one inch wide.
