Latest Mallory addition
Mallory Coast to Coast
Mallory Coast to Coast - Dark Grey Brown
4 3/4 - 3 7/8 rakish crown
1 5/8 pewter grosgrain ribbon
2 3/8 brim with 3/8 bound edge
Mallory Coast to Coast with a fairly dark grey brown felt. Having seen Jim’s @Frunobulax C2C I knew I wouldn’t go wrong with this buy. This I believe would be later 50s considering the card stock size tag and slightly shorter brim at 2 3/8. The dark taupe felt is offset ever so slightly with a 1 5/8 pewter grosgrain ribbon and brim binding. The crown still sports what appears to be its factory tear drop and rakish crease. Mallory are among my favorites and I do have a few with similar (Whippet-ish) styling but none with the C2C designation or this coloring so this will fit in nicely. This hat has the “Aristocrat Quality“ designation as do most of my Mallory fedoras. I have one or two in “Premier Quality“ but I can’t discern any real differences in the quality.
This hat came in fairly crisp condition.. only needed a little brushing to remove a bit of dust.
