Yeah that comment comes pretty late but don't wanna hold back how satisfied i am with my PB N1 jacket. As for me i have the impression it is one of a few with "european" dimension rather than the more "smaller" stuff you get from Asia - no matter if from Japan or China ...

I used to wear an "L" but simply got to phat (kind of) and swapped to an "XL" since a couple of years. For me the length of the sleeves is just about right and the overal dimensions give me enough room for layering.

That's why i would recommend the PB decks also for larger dudes - i'm 1.90 - 100 kgs - for sure upscaled according to their size

I had the navy waxed coming about three years ago, but not directly ordered by Pike Brothers but a Motorbike-Scene-Store. I was disappointed and sent it back. It was looking black, not at all navy and it swamped me, especially the sleeves. I come to believe that they are having different batches, though. Maybe depending on where we order from, could be that we get older stock? The "khaki" waxed I have seen on others were looking good, though not at all khaki, more dark olive or kind of brown.
Unfortunately, you were absolutely right about the navy waxed.
I ordered them in L and XL.
Unfortunately, it's really not navy but black. I put something black on the jacket and saw almost no difference.
I think the fabric as such is quite cool, but not in black.
But I could have lived with it if necessary. Unfortunately, the measurements didn't match the size chart either. I had hoped that the navy in L would be the same size as my Omaha. Unfortunately, the sleeves are 3 cm shorter and the shoulders 1 - 2 cm narrower. And the stiffer fabric makes the jacket feel even smaller.
The XL doesn't actually correspond to the size chart either, but would be ok if it wasn't so incredibly wide. I feel like I can wrap it around my stomach twice. The sleeves are also too wide. The lining feels a bit scratchier than the Omaha. If the colour was cool, I'd keep them and take them to the tailor. But both are going back.
Instead, I quite like the ‘1942 Deck Zip Jacket dark blue’, even if the blouson shape is very unusual for my jacket style. I think I'll keep it, even though the length is very short. I'll take some pictures.

I lament about the patterning/cutting/sizing of Pike Bros N-1s since more than a decade now. Had one good example (they are there, like some fellow loungers also had the luck to experience), but most I had coming were sent back because of sizing/patterning issues that I couldn't explain myself. It is so silly, because the materials they manufacture, built and workmanship are outstanding for the price. Plus, one of the things that I find most attractive in period originals and faithful repros is the color tone and ruggedness of both the outer shell and the alpaca liner, Pike seems to deliberately avoid those features and chose strange colors and textures instead. Why they do is beyond my brains capacity. They have the means of doing a perfect N-1 but they deny to make it.
