Since when has that thread been around? Was this the mods separating the cap threads?
As far as I can see it's been around since 4 days ago, and as far as I can see it was the original poster's idea to pay tribute to the history of caps. And I think it's a good idea.

Its redundant, as all those pictures are actually on this thread.

But for those of us who prefer vintage pics, we don't have to wade through page after page (after page after page) of modern reproductions to see what we like. If it bothers you, don't look.

My thoughts exactly, Damian. This thread is filled with historic images of caps - I don't get it?

Blackthorn, if you want any of these historic pictures over on that thread, copy and paste them, go for your life. Seems redundant to me as well, but different strokes.

Its a copy and paste thread. oh well. Just copy and paste then.
After all, this thread did all the work already.

and eventually you'll have to wad through page and page to see what you like on that one.

Thanks, gents! In terms of the pattern, it's the first one that really makes the grade for me.

These Bulgarian antique fabrics are like nothing else, I have to say. The Japanese word 'shari' comes close to describing it - a cool rough crispness in running your hand over the fabric.

I'm finishing another - a new pattern - and will post soon.
