To get a cap with that much drape you might have to go custom. Wigens longshore mans cap is close the the side seam is a swope.

Tompegbel - if Ed's suggestion doesn't work out, you could look on eBay at vintage berets and sift through them. A small number of them had brims, and look just like that pic you posted when worn. Good luck!

I'm new to the site but I would appreciate your help finding a specific cap style. I believe it is called a single piece crown in a newsboy style or something like that. Basically a newsboy without the eight piece seams and without the button. These are hard to find as I have searched all the sellers posted in this thread and everything on ebay and ebay UK. I think this was common in the 20s but I may be mistaken. I have a photo of what I am searching for, any assistance would be appreciated. Hopefully it's not a custom made >$200 cap.

You might have to special order that one. You can go with either a one piece 8 dart cap, like the one Stuffsmith posted above, or a 3 piece with a round top and 2 side panels.

I bought a couple of 1950s French caps yesterday, which I'll be selling on. One 58cm, one 59cm. Hélice club.Hélice is "propeller". Blue-ish grey with flecked overcheck. Summer weight fabric. Lovely crown imprint.

Keith the 20's 8 dart is real slick & crazy cool fabric I like that one a lot..

tompegbel, in San Francisco AL's Attire has some very similar caps good for the intense side flip , But no website sales
Johnny or Simonds can make one easy if you have no luck finding one.

ofcoursemyhorse gifted me this insanely cool cap to small for me but Moco grabbed it & slapped it on

This one has to be vintage the lining is good stuff
But no tags or labels
Alex got it from England
The bigger button seems to throw me off about its age
But the fabric & lining & workmanship plus the cut
Seems to take me back to the good old days

I just picked up a 1940s six-panel ball cap from Ideal Cap Co. in navy blue. Wool with a leather band...I'm ordering another soon. I know, not a flat cap, but, a cap nonetheless!

Yeah-they used make the Cooperstown collection. They still make great caps-I almost went with a Army Air Corp hat, but, decided to make a "vintage" Red Sox hat instead. Still have to attach the old-style B. Here's the link.
