Just finished my first commissioned cap! Made using the same 1900's Japanese 'boro' fabric my 8-dart was made from. To read about boro fabrics, see here. Patched, mended and irregular. A cool video can be seen here. The aesthetic really goes with my other artwork. Lining of 1890's kimono silk and vintage grosgrain/cotton band.

Now my family can have the kitchen table back. :)

Damian, love that fabric and you are learning quickly. Good job!
Thanks. I just wish I had more fabric to make matching knicker. Just enough for 2 more caps and thats it. This tweed has good age to it. Its selvedge isn't even a finished edge. Perfect colors for a great collegiate or jazz age look.

Amazing work Keith! I'm blown away by the pattern matching. If I had that cap I'd want to be two foot shorter so EVERYONE could see that!

Just got me this cap. Made in 1983 in the Soviet Union! It is grey wool, with typical Soviet features of a black artificial leather sweatband (not great, but not absolutely horrid) and rayon lining. I can't get enough of Soviet lining material for some reason, I find it just great!

Great cap Sprinkles. Haven't seen a whole lot of 6 panel caps like that.
Che and Howardeye those are some fantastic caps. I dig that style a whole lot! Perfect with the leather jackets.

Great stuff everyone! Bert, pleased to see you with the Motorist - isn't it a beaut? LOVE the all-black, it suits you to a T. Che, the crusher is so cool, I love that you can rough it up and it bounces into shape...just keep that noggin safe on the road, pal!! Sprinkles, nice Russian 6-er there. I dig the half sweat. Dale, thanks for the good word on my cap - the pattern matching was fun, but it was knocked off by the patches and non- matching pieces of fabric. It accents the irregularity if the fabric I guess. Richard, fantastic patchwork cap - love the black and white contrast on the top of the peak. Cool!

Keep up the finery, fellas!

Great shots Che as always and a great cap. I had a Harley like that in the 70's but made into a chopper! Great caps everyone else also. Every cap posted here is totally unique as are the wearers!

Thanks Keith! Good one to you and your beautiful family, and definately to all my other cap wearing friends and theirs.
New caps would be awesome, but I sincerely hope you all find joy and hope in those around you.
