Hoping some of you can give me a guess as to the decade this was produced? ballpark year?
From the label, later 1950s - 1960 would be a ballpark.

Wow to both of those. I tried to have a favorite but just kept going back and forth. Yowza!Number two:
Crown height: 5”

Bit too furry on that too branded ribbon for me (-:
Well, 40Cal showed us a borsalino with the name "banana" just before this one. "Bananas" would be appropiate for this one too!
Yowza! This was an Ebay purchase. I don't know a great deal about Borsalinos . Hoping some of you can give me a guess as to the decade this was produced? ballpark year?
Has an un-reeded sweat with the corrugated front and an un-sewn seem. Needs a little brim work! Pictures:

+1Good to see a really old one. You brought that one back to life. Great job!
Wow, what a hat, Steffan. I can feel the quality of it through the photos. Congrats. There were a few borsalinos in the Holland-Italy hat-exchange. Thanks go out to Daniele. This is the first one. Posted this in other threads as well (new hats and pre 40 dress hats). More to come (promise).
Borsalino in the colour Misto lapis, size 56. Grey colour with blue tones. It's a heather felt of incredible quality. Curled brim at 5cm and crown at 11 cm in front. Not a homburg and not a lords hat either, but a dress hat with curled brim. It actually works as a fedora as well but it does not like its brim snapped down. I'm thinking late 1930's. Exceptional hat.

I'm hoping Daniele might have it's bigger brother for my head [emoji5]Steve, thanks! It was quite the find by Daniele (I'm only lucky to have a head small enough for it to fit).

And, thankfully, there will always be the next hat. You never know when it will come, nor where it will come from, but you just know, it's out there [emoji4]Well, there's always hope...
