The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Great hat. I do like that color combo. Similar to my Gannon.
Well, while I like mine yours is better....
The picture on mine is deceiving.....the felt is a little darker than in the window picture (it looks grey indoors but in bright light and outdoors is defiantly an awesome green) AND while the ribbon looks a nice plum color (which would be awesome) it is in fact a DARK grey.
It is real interesting how various hats photograph.........

New addition. Borsalino lobbia in the colour bario (first time I've handled one in that colour). Size 59 with the brim at 5cm and the crown 11cm at the center dent. Lovely hat with nice felt. Early seventies would be my guess.

Nice find, Stefan. Everything about the inside of the hat says 70s to me, too.

Thank you, Steve. It was only listed as a Borsalino, not a 6X MGL. I get excited when sellers don't know what they really have, until I remember how much it has cost me to know better.

Recent purchase, Borsalino San Remo. Seller said it was 1960's... But it feels and looks waaay to new.
What a cool find, Rick. It does indeed look in pristine condition. Most likely NOS. 1960's is probably right. It's not Antica Casa Borsalino, but the "cheaky" cousin G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro. Just as good btw. This must be among one of the last of G.B. productions if my memory serves me right. I can't remember seeing one so "modern". I have a G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro bowler from the 1920's courtesy of Daniele. Hopefully, he will be able to shed some light on your wonderful purchase.
