Thanks, Moustache. It's funny - when I was younger I grew my moustache to look older (I was only 20 years old in those photos ) , now I shave it to look younger! It has too many gray hairs and I don't like dyes.

Without moustache wax getting those nice curls on the tips of the moustache, or even getting it to grow horizontally instead of vertically during the initial phase, would be very hard and would include extremely much work with the aid of some sort of heated curling iron apparatus.

With moustache wax you comb it into the moustache, fix it up like you want and it stays nice for the entire day.

moustache, if I may ask, what wax do you use? I'm currently trying on the neutral Clubman wax which is by far better than others I've tried in the past. It's easy to work with and gives both a nice stickyness during the shaping phase and a nice hold throughout the day. Not to mention it smells really nice which at least for me is imperative.

I actually use very little wax.After the morning shower,i use hand lotion or after-shave balm on my moustache.The using the blow dryer,i comb it to the sides and get that feathered/sweeping look.Then i use the same lotion on the ends and use my fingers to curl it slightly.When it has the look i desire,i use a small dap of wax on the ends only.Usually it is Brothers Love brown or Firehouse Wax.Both smell good and mold well.Also Skippys softer wax as it uses lavendar which i adore.
Later in the day i wash out the wax and the curl remains but the bushiness appears as the wax is gone.I like the fuller look.The stache now looks similar to what my avatar is to the left there.

The Handlebar Club and Whisker Club are places for wax as well.

Damn, I'm envious that it seems to come somewhat naturally for you. Perhaps it will for me as well when the strands right below the nose starts coming into the right length. Right now at least I have to wax the entire stache, with extra care at the ends, to get it to look like I wish.

I generally do not like facial hair. There are some cases, mostly on older gents, where a beard/stache looks dashing and distinguished, but I prefer my men clean-shaven.

As a female, I love facial hair on certain men. I think some men look better with facial hair and some look better without. Also, you have to have a certain amount of panache and dignity to carry it off. It's a lovely way to show a bit of individuality or creativity of character, something I can always appreciate. I like a good handlebar or pencil thin moustache on a man. Van dykes are nice too. My husband used to wear mutton chops and I think they suited him well.
Generally, I think a man's facial hair has to be well-groomed and trimmed - nothing too bushy or porn star-ish!

I have a thing for goatees, so on some men, they are really attractive. I am not really one for beards, but I also do like mustaches if they are worn like Clark Gable did......swoon....I don't like a lot of the mustaches men wear these days that are kind of bushy, it has to be sleek.

The stubble-hatred is understandable.My wife hated it at first.
But after the hairs are longer than about 1/2",they become silky smooth with care and conditioner.Just like scalp hair.
The man who grows facial hair this way needs to think of his partner as well.Be considerate.

But the baby face look is no longer for me.I'm 40. Not 4.And i want to look like an adult.And dress like one!!!Thank goodness the Golden age came along and taught America how to dress albeit only for a few decades.

This smooth face.baggy pants,baseball cap backwards,eye-ear-lip-nose piered,tattooed society we live in is a disgrace(no offense to FL'ers with above mentioned characteristics).And it shows their maturity.

I had a little girl come up to me at a convention a few weeks ago,maybe age 8 or 9,and say:"I LOVE your monopoly moustache!" and with a curt giggle and sweet smile,she ran off.

Now THAT made this mustachioed FL'er feel elated!!
